It goes without saying that we also treat child patients. We employ an accommodating approach to successfully treat the majority of children. We treat extremely disturbed or frightened children with premedication – we give them a low dose of benzodiazepines (in tablets), that acts to subdue and calm child patients, who usually do not then remember the procedure. The only condition for procedures performed in this way is that the child is under the supervision of its parents for the rest of the day. After treatment, the child will be calm and drowsy.
