At our clinic, we use the modern biological PRGF (Plasma Rich in Growth Factors) technology, which promotes faster and higher-quality tissue healing. The method works with the patient’s own growth factors and an autologous fibrin membrane, and is widely used particularly in implantology and dentoalveolar surgery.
The PRGF system was developed at the Biotechnology Institute in Spain and clinically validated by a team led by Dr. Eduardo Anitua. It is a scientifically based, minimally invasive method that stimulates regeneration of both soft tissues and bone structures while reducing the risk of complications.
How does the method work?
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and is quick, simple, and safe. A small amount of venous blood is drawn from the patient and then centrifuged for several minutes. This process separates the individual blood components and produces plasma rich in growth factors.
From this plasma, it is possible to create:
-
a liquid form for application to the surgical site, or
-
a fibrin membrane that supports healing and tissue regeneration.
Because only the patient’s own biological material is used, there is no risk of allergic reaction or transmission of infection.
Use in dentistry
We primarily use the PRGF system:
-
during dental implant placement,
-
in bone augmentation procedures,
-
after tooth extractions,
-
in periodontology,
-
during surgical procedures in the oral cavity.
The method promotes faster healing, improved bone regeneration, and a more comfortable postoperative course.
PRGF technology is also successfully used in other medical fields, such as maxillofacial surgery, traumatology, dermatology, plastic surgery, and vascular surgery.
