In our surgery each new patient undergoes an entrance examination and consultation of the condition of the teeth and treatment options. Before the examination the receptionist makes a patient card (basic personal data, telephone number and email are filled in, and a photo is taken with a webcam for a clearer record of patients). Thereafter an OPG (panoramic X-ray) is made out, which displays the entire extent of the teeth. It is part of modern diagnostic methods in the field of dentistry. The device creates the image quickly, without the need to expose a photo. It is saved in the computer in the patient card, where it is immediately available to the dentist. It is an essential part of the initial examination and diagnosis of the patient’s current dental condition. OPG is usually updated every two years, unless the dentist decides otherwise. The patient also fills in an anamnestic medical questionnaire, and then the dentist uses in further treatment and proper medication of the patient.

In case of acute problems in the patient’s mouth, these are solved in the first phase. The dentist always thoroughly discusses the treatment plan and financial plan with the patient and acquaint him with the planned steps.
