We offer total tooth whitening in the form of home whitening. During your first visit we will make an impression of your upper and lower teeth so that we can make you precisely fitting carriers for whitening gel. At your next visit you will receive these carriers, a pack of whitening gel and detailed whitening instructions. The carriers with whitening gel are placed in the mouth for a few hours a day for a period of around a week until the desired whiteness is achieved. We are now also offering tooth whitening at the clinic as a new service.
It is essential to avoid food and drinks that stain the teeth (i.e. coffee, black tea, red wine, bilberries, etc.) and smoking during the course of this treatment. It is also appropriate to use toothpaste containing whitening agents after completing the whitening process in order to maintain the lighter shade of your teeth, and to repeat the whitening treatment every so often.
In certain cases a dead tooth (i.e. a tooth that has undergone root canal treatment) will be of a darker colour than the surrounding healthy teeth. In these situations we can offer the internal whitening of a single tooth. An insert containing bleaching agents is applied inside the tooth and subsequently replaced at regular intervals of 3 to 5 days until the desired tooth whiteness is achieved.
